Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville will miss Wednesday's home game against Minnesota. The team announced Wednesday morning that Quenneville was hospitalized Tuesday night. The statement doesn't specifically identify Quenneville's ailment, but head team physician Dr. Michael Terry said it was not cardiac in nature.
"Joel presented severe discomfort late last night at his home in suburban Chicago," Terry said. "He went to the emergency room and was admitted early this morning. He is currently in stable condition and is being treated for an undisclosed health concern today."
Terry noted that Quenneville is still undergoing tests, and the team will provide more information once it's available.
